Animal Farm
Animal Farm, by George Orwell, was published in 1945. As a metaphor of the Russian Revolution, the novel is about a farm where the animals overthrow the original owner of the farm. With good intentions, the animals strive for a more equal community where all the animals are equal. However, good intentions were gradually overcome by greed, dishonesty and manipulation when the leaders of the revolution became more interested in their power over the farm rather the farm itself.
